What is the NCHEA? Why should Nebraska home school families support the NCHEA?

The NCHEA (www.nchea.org), Nebraska’s state-wide home school organization, has for 35+ years been 1) defending the rights of Nebraska parents to homeschool by monitoring the NE Legislature and the NE Dept. of Education, 2) empowering Nebraska families to participate in the defense of their home education rights and liberties through Legislative Alerts that analyze the impact of bills and regulations on home education freedom and provide detailed information, positions, or action steps parents can use in addressing adverse legislation with their legislators, and 3) encouraging home educating parents and those investigating home education with an annual Conference & Curriculum Fair, Kids Conference, and Teen Conference. Nebraska families’ participation with the NCHEA through their NCHEA membership greatly facilitates and strengthens the NCHEA’s efforts on their behalf.
