FCH was established in 2004 to serve as a steady source of encouragement and support to local homeschooling families by providing members with fellowship, support, and communications, as well as social, educational & outreach opportunities. In 2017, the FCH Fellowship went national to accommodate the changing needs of homeschooling families nationwide and on the mission field that may be lacking in support from a local homeschooling group.

Homeschooling can be an awesome adventure but one that often needs the support, encouragement, and interaction that can only be offered by other homeschooling families. With this in mind FCH strives to connect you to programs and activities that support BOTH the parents and the children as well as the family as a whole.

FCH offers your family support throughout the year by organizing and hosting different LIVE online events & activities designed to support and encourage our members. In addition, FCH offers local member events, park days, outings and field trips and family trips. Local Florida FCH Members are eligible for discounted membership to the FPEA - Florida Parent Educators Association, which carries with it a host of additional benefits including discounts to area merchants.

We average just under 200 families in our membership annually and have ALL KINDS of member families in our group. From full time traveling homeschoolers, pastoral, military & missionary families, to families that are actively involved in their local foster & adoption programs. In addition to actively homeschooling families, we have several families that join our FCH Fellowship simply because they are thinking about homeschooling and want to connect with other families before they take the plunge! All of our member families enjoy the extensive on-line community we offer when homeschoolers in their immediate area may be few and far between or their busy schedules do not permit them to get as involved locally as they would like.

Whether you're local or national, whether you've been homeschooling for 20 years, 20 minutes, or you’re just thinking about it; the staff at FCH strive to offer you the tools and information you need to feel supported in your decisions about home education.
