Youth For Understanding YFU-USA, is one of the oldest and largest student exchange organizations in the world. We will be hosting over 2000 international high school students during the 2010/2011 school year. Our students bring new talent and culture to your school. We also offer Americans Overseas (AO) opportunities, a chance for your students to travel overseas for a semester, a summer, or a year.

• Host Family Opportunity
We are seeking families to host one of our incoming exchange students for 12 weeks, a semester or an entire school year. Families would provide a place to live, three meals a day, encouragement, guidance and love to your new exchange son/daughter. It is a typical family living experience. Families come in all shapes and sizes, empty nesters, or with children of all ages. The students come with their own spending money, health insurance, and the commitment to live according to the rules and values of your family and Youth for Understanding (www.yfu-usa.org). They can share a room with a host sibling, arrive in August and spend 11 months until June with the family.

• American Overseas Opportunity
On a YFU Exchange, the student will live with a host family, speak a new language, experience a new culture, make new friends, and change how they view the world. Many countries are available for a semester, a summer, or a school year. YFU awards over 300 scholarships annually. • Volunteer Opportunities
YFU is a strong and vibrant volunteer based organization, with one of the largest international exchange scholarship programs in the world. If you know of someone who enjoys working with teenagers and families and wants to promote increased intercultural understanding - we may have a place for you.
