| Hello. I don't get too much computer time, but I am glad to find this site. My daughter is 9 years old and in the 4th grade. We just completed our first year of homeschooling. I am 44 years old and married to a truck driver who is a devoted husband and father. We live in rural Pennsylvania and enjoy the outdoors and spend alot of time together. We do flea markets and auctions. Our daughter is bright but not motivated. She is liking homeschool, but hard to get moving in the morning. I appreciate any help in this area, and also are there any set objectives I can access as far as where she should be academically for her age? (benchmarks) Also, I admit I lack organization skills. Any suggestions as to where I begin to make changes? I am using the books provided by the school district because of financial reasons. |

You can usually access sample tests and/or objectives online for each grade level. What state are you in? Also, a lot of homeschool parents have their children take standardized tests every year or two, which helps identify any weak areas. If you don't want to use the school district's tests for privacy reasons, you can probably find a third-party source in your state. _________________ The Farming Game - Software Edition for PC, Mac, Linux

Check your library for the "everything your child needs to know in -- grade" They are great for keeping you on track, and provide a great checklist for what you've done. _________________ Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. |
