Registering to become an "official" homeschool in Kansas is very simple, and is done through the State Department of Education under the Homeschooling topic in their website. I homeschooled my children for about two years. Then we moved and I sent them to the public school, which was much better than the one where we moved from. There is a wonderful group of homeschooling parents in Wichita, Kansas that has a fair at Century II Convention Center in the spring, with vendors of educational materials and so forth. They also have very supportive meetings including an introductory meeting for new homeschooling parents that provides a lot of literature and so forth. When we were members, there were over 1500 homeschooling families in the Wichita area alone. _________________ catlover_ks
