My sister wishes to homeschool her husband's two children, both of which live with them full-time (supported 100%). Her husband has legal custody of his two children, but my sister has not adopted them. Do you think it's legal for her to homeschool her husband's children? We live in California, and I couldn't find anything on HSLDA about that.
The children's biological mother is alive, but not involved. I do believe she lost custody rights, and only the grandparents are allowed visitation.
They recently moved to the Hayward/Oakland area, and the public Jr. and Sr. High Schools are terrifying them. A lot of drugs and gangs. |

The law in California doesn't address this issue, but HSLDA has had experience with it. Your bil should call HSLDA and ask. _________________ Married to Mr. Ellie for over 30 years
