| I know that in NY, you can only get your GED if you're homeschooled. Would this hinder my chances of getting into a good college? Would it be worth it to just stay in public school? |

| In NY if you complete all of your requirements you can ask the Superintendent of your district for a letter of completion. That states that you have met the requirements. The other alternative is having 24 college credits which some homeschoolers get by either AP exams or taking classes at a community college during jr/sr years. Most of the homeschoolers I know (in NY) have never gotten a GED or plan to. Everyone I know that has graduated has gone to college, some on scholarships. |
