It's not a stand-alone curriculum, but I thought I would point out that http://www.kidmango.com had some 50-minute live-action videos posted that deal with figures from history -- Galileo, Einstein, Rembrandt...
The site is a little tough to navigate, but the videos look appropriate for mid- to late-elementary, and maybe into early junior high. They seem to all follow the same format -- having a fictional kid being paired with the real-life inventor/artist/genius. I haven't personally seen all of the videos, but think I can recommend what I've seen of the site so far.
On the homepage, scroll down to the "All Show Access" section, and skip to page 3. Unless you're in the mood for cartoons! And did I mention it's FREE? |
