Just wondering if anyone had ideas about preschool at home scheduling? We are trying to get a good schedule going.
Thanks!

For my DS, who is 2.5 but will be start full preschool in the fall, the only things she has right now that are scheduled are her mealtimes and nap times, and we work some playful curriculum into her free play.
When "school" actually starts, we're going to try to start out with the Workbox system so that the school day is somewhat set apart from regular play time.
Ideally, our morning would be: 7 - get up, get ready, eat breakfast, etc. 9 - start school, do school until that's done (probably less than an hour a day for her), and then she'll go back to her play schedule and I'll go back to trying to get the house in order. |

It has always worked well for us to keep preschool pretty relaxed. We usually just follow our normal routine (mealtimes, chores, naps, bedtime, etc.) and add on a math, alphabet or fine motor activity in the morning (usually after breakfast and chores). We also read throughout the day and in the evenings before bed. _________________ www.successful-homeschooling.com! |
