Back in the day when I was being homeschooled - oh let's just say 15 to 20 years ago or so...lol - my mom was on a dozen mailing lists for catalogs that she and I loved to get and pore over. Sometimes the catalogs were as entertaining as the products they carried. I'm not looking for curriculum so much as real books and manipulatives. I'd love to find some good resources again as our family beings our own homeschooling adventure. Ideas, anyone? Thanks! _________________ Stay-At-Home Mom with a passion for learning and exploring. I love the Sonlight catalog for that kind of thing.
Also Elijah Company (but I'm not sure their catalog is the same as it was several years ago.)

I'm a catalog junkie!
My favorites are Sonlight, Rainbow Resource (warning: it's huge), Timberdoodle and Winter Promise. I also like For Small Hands, Montessori Services and Hearthsong. The last three I mentioned aren't homeschool catalogs, but I always get really good ideas from looking through them. _________________ www.successful-homeschooling.com! |

I used to dread getting all those catalogs! More stuff to fill my crowded space <G>. More wonderful things - more than I could ever possibly afford, and all so lovely looking! I find that when I eliminate catalogs in my house, I have less of the "PLOMS" (poor little old me syndrom). <G>.
That said, I think amazon.com is a great resource. It would be hard to find a product they DON'T carry. I publish a blog for parents who educate their preschoolers, and I have an amazon store attached to it. I can carry books, blocks, puzzles, dressups, even playground equipment! It's really a useful site.
Good luck!

The web really is a great place to find your curriculum these days. All the curriculum you want is just a click away. _________________ Josh

| I like The Critical Thinking Co. and Rainbow Resource. I definately prefer shopping online at Rainbow, that catalog is way too big for me! |
