I have a set of twin 2year olds boys a 3 year old son that I want to homeschool. I don't know where to begin I am new to the whole school thing with kids. I don't trust public schools and I need help on getting started. Can someone help me? _________________ Mother of 3 |

Hi, welcome to the forum. Your children are quite young right now. You would just need to make sure you follow the laws for homeschooling -- but you probably won't need to do that until your oldest child is about 6 years old. Just check your state laws and make sure you meet the requirements when that time comes. You can check the laws at the link below:

When children are ages 2 and 3, they really don't need much formal educational instruction. They need to play. Playing is how they learn. My recommendation would be to allow them lots of free time to play and use their imaginations. It is also good to read them lots of books. That will help them develop a love of reading and a love of learning. Take them to the public library often and allow them to check out books they like. There are some web sites for homeschooling preschool that you could get ideas from...........links below........but again, I would not push academics at this age. You can do things with them, but always make sure it's fun! They will have plenty of time to learn the official school stuff when they're older.
