| Hello, I am new to this site, but am beginning to homeschool my 5 year old twins. At this point I am using Teach Your Child to Read in a 100 Easy Lessons and my son is doing really well and sounding out words and reading. My daughter, on the other hand, is having a harder time connecting that the sounds she is saying are actual words although she has no problem with sounding out the letters themselves. Basically, I am assuming that my daughter is more of a visual, hands on learner and that I need to find some supplemental games, books, songs to add to this program. Does anyone have any ideas? |

| Thank you! Thank you! I appreciate the links, I know that my daughter will love a couple of these ideas already and they will help me reformat our day. |
