I'm looking for home school curriculum that is all or most of these:
-Interdisciplinary (especially social studies and language arts going together)
-Hands-on
-Quality content, something close to state or national standards
-Christian worldview
I have had a hard time finding what I'm looking for. Any ideas???? |

I've looked at KONOS (which seems disconnected to me, and I've heard it's a lot of work for the parent), Sonlight (I'm not sure if it's as interdisciplinary or hands-on as I'd like), History Links (I don't know much about it yet, I'm waiting for the first unit book to come in the mail), Moving Beyond the Page (I can seem to find out much about it from their website). |

I used KONOS for two years and didn't find it to be either disconnected or a lot of work. My only regret is that I started hsing before all three volumes were written, so I couldn't use all of them. _________________ Married to Mr. Ellie for over 30 years

I guess I'm picturing something that flows chronologically through history or something. What connected your KONOS units together? |

I have had some friends who have used Alpha Omega. I am not sure how interdisciplinary it is, but it is definitely Christian Worldview. The only complaint I have heard is that sometimes it is to hardcore of a Christian Worldview. Still might be worth checking out.

Also I think the best way to make anything interdisciplinary is to modify it towards your child and their interests. I taught history for nine years, and currently do side work as a writer. I'd be happy to chat with you and see if i have any resources from teaching that might help, than its just a matter of working into whatever curriculum you choose. Let me know if I can help! _________________ Brent M
