If you don't have an attic fan, it is worth the investment.
There are several kinds depending on your style house.
I have a rancher which requires only one attic fan. It keeps the attic about 50 degrees cooler on extremely hot days. In this model, the thermostat can be adjusted to keep the attic at a desired temperature. My husband installed the first fan twenty years ago and replaced it seven years ago. Prices vary, about 40 bucks. It pays for itself in a couple of months by lowering your electric bill. It costs only pennies a day to operate.
