We actually started back on the 2nd. The days were not very productive, really. Yesterday marks the start of our first full week back. Everyone seems to have slipped right back into the routine. Now, it's only a matter of hours before the laundry is backed up again!
How's your day going? |

I felt as if I was only one step ahead all day, because of having a tiny baby and the holidays having been so busy and getting over a cold, but there were some good moments.
The big kids said it was great to be back in a normal school routine.
The little ones asked for one more game, one more story.
The middle child was excited that I chose the book I had given her for Christmas to be the next one I read aloud during lunch.
Since Monday is fine arts day, we didn't do academics. I'm excited to start cursive with my new 3rd-grader today, and reading and writing with my DD who's finishing Kindergarten.
