DD is in K grade but...

Postby lily3 » Tue May 24, 2011 12:12 pm

she is testing at second grade level on her MAP test and they say she is gifted. Can I start her with second grade instruction this year? My state dose not require any yearly standard test. Thanks!

Yes, you can. Many homeschool moms teach their kids on the grade level they feel is right. You can even mix it up and teach her, for example, K5 reading, 2nd grade math, 1st grade history..........whatever works for you.

Yes, of course. However, be sure that you comply with your state's homeschool laws according to her age, not her academic level.
