We are pretty relaxed homeschoolers (somewhere in between unschooling and the Well Trained Mind) but we would like to set up a classroom/art studio/ playroom in this former (large) rectangular shaped laundry room. The washer and dryer are out of there now. We have four desks from the Salvation Army that I think were originally in the local public schools that I plan on arranging so that it is like a big table. (Does that make sense?) I also plan on painting one of the walls with chalkboard paint (the shorter end of the rectangle) and putting a tv and futon in there. (It will also be my partner's sound room to show off to buddies from work or whatever.) I will put my massive collection of children's books and nonfiction books in there as well. (I have a bit of a book habit.) I would like to make it as baby proof as possible also.

So, I'm looking for inspiration. What is a must have for y'all? I know the basics: globe, maps, art supplies, books. But what are must haves and can you give me any organization tips.

Pictures of your own school room would be cool, too.
