My daughter is in public school and I am regreting that decision more and more each day. Private school is obscenely expensive. I myself was homeschooled and thought it had it's good and bad points. Some of my friends think it's totally cooky (not that that should matter). But I am fed up with the government telling me what to do. HELP!

Do what you feel is right, and talk to your daughter. Let her have some input, but be sure that she understands that you have the last say in the matter.

you have to do what you think is right, but if you were homeschooled yourself,
then you can steer clear of some of the bad points you went through along the way.

I agree with Mark, plus maybe get together with your local group before hand for the support. I am curious as someone who had been homeschooled what you feel the good and bad points were? I am not homeschooling right now but am seriously considering it and would like to hear from your experience.

We took our son out of school in December and it is one of the best decisions we have ever made. I would think that you have a unique perspective of what you need to make sure you do to ensure that the bad bits are not there for your DD, but also each child is so different that what is bad for one is not necessarily bad for another.

The way you were home schooled is not the way you have to do it. Just as the way you were parented is not the way you have to parent.

Do what you think is best. If you home school don't forget to make it fun for you and your child.

Good luck!
