My daughter is having a terrible time at school with anxiety and confusion. She is in 1st grade and she has a male teacher. The year started out fine and now she is coming home everyday crying worrying that she has done something wrong. I have tried to talk to her to eases some of her anxiety but it does not work. I don't know what to do but I feel like the problem is school. She is a very timid child and shy. She had a great Kindergarten year, but this year has been very rocky. I do not feel good about leaving her in school. I am currently enrolled at the University of Alabama pursuing a degree in special and general education for grades k - 6. I graduate in May of this year. I know it would be a lot on my family and me but I feel this is what I should do to help her. What is my next step?

welcome to the forum..
and I'm sure glad you found us.

Theodore could probably give you the next step, it somewhat depends
upon where you are at as to the legal requirements though.

1st grade.. start casting about for a curriculum would be good.
used but in good shape will help keep the costs down..
