What are your thoughts on Rod and Staff curriculum? What are it's strenths and weaknesses? I using it right now, and I like it for now...it fits my budget and is easy to use...but I am worried that it may be too basic.
I would love to transition into saxon math, but I am not sure that I can afford it. |

Rod and Staff is an excellent publisher. I can't recommend it enough for almost all subjects (I'm not fond of the health books, nor "We Learn About God," the first grade reading materials). All R&S texts are comprehensive, academically sound, easy to use, without one bit of twaddle or busywork.
The math series is every bit as good as Saxon; people who have used it all the way through the 8th grade say that their dc are able to go on to any other publisher's algebra. |
