My name is Kelly. I am a Clinical Massage Therapist in Utah. I Massage Humans and Horses. I have been interested in Homeschooling for the longest time. Now that I Have a two-year old, and I have finally taken those steps and efforts to homeschool her for the future.
I don't have experience with Homeschooling, and until moving to Utah, I didn't really know a lot about it. I think its a fine avenue and should be available to all parents.
I Have read many books on educating ones child and others on understand your curious and creative little one. This just led me to the natural conclusion that Homeschooling is the best ultimatum. I feel in a world that is so out of control, I would rather have control of the things my child needs to know.
Though I haven't discussed this with her mother yet...I figure I have about 2 years to present my case..lol. My fiance is a 5th grade teacher here in Utah, so this should be interesting...
i hope to absorb, participate and later contribute as much that I can learn from all of you and in turn give it back with hopefully more later.
Thank you for having Isabella (my Daughter) and I here.
Sincerely,
Mr. Kelly Vaughn |

There are teachers who homeschool, in fact a few of them have posted on the forum. Just because you're helping improve the school system, that doesn't necessarily mean it's where you want your kids to be. _________________ The Farming Game - Software Edition for PC, Mac, Linux

Hi,
I know many teachers that feel homeschooling is a great and positive alternitive to public school. Keep on reading and getting ready.
I too read lots of books and gathered infomation when my daughter was younger. I wanted to homeschool early on. I did send my daughter to public school k-2grade and this year we have decieded to take the plunge and give it our best! I am so glad that I had done the reading early on and talked to my husband and share bookes and info with him. When I presented my reasons this year he was all for it! I think because it was so new to him it took a while for him to really understand the benefits so homeschooling. By the way........my husband and I are massage threapist too. LOL We have been in the field for 13 yrs now.
