Hello, hello, hello!
I'm so hoping to learn a few new tricks here. I have 3 boys aged 12, 8 and almost 1. There's an almost 39 yo if you count my dh.
The older two have spent time in a classroom. The oldest has been in two different ones, actually. It proved to be a bad fit for both of them. In a nutshell, the oldest was driven to distraction by other students and teased on top of it to the point of not retaining anything. The younger of the two was sent knowing how to read and was bored because the class wouldn't move fast enough for him. He would work ahead and get in trouble with the teacher. He did the work right but got in trouble for not waiting. He was the only one in his class who could read.
That's the nutshell. I'll post more elsewhere as I'd like to keep this short. |
