| I found a solution to the odor produced by refrigerated hard-boiled eggs. You know the smell that everyone who opens the refrigerator comments about. After hard-boiling eggs, I run cool water over eggs and then peel them before storing in fridge. The shells peel easier when warm. Anyway, after peeling and rinsing eggs, pat dry with paper towels. Line a plastic container with three layers of paper towels. Depending on the size of container, the towels will line the bottom and sides. Pile in the eggs. Seal with lid. When you take eggs out, the paper towels will be damp or wet. Replace or wait another day. You will find after replacing wet towels, the replacements will become wet in a day or so. Using this method, there is absolutely no egg odor. |

The cholesterol that comes from eggs is the "good" kind, and won't hurt you. Have you looked into yogurt? It's even better for helping you lose weight, and tastes better than eggs imho. You could trying varying between the eggs and that + a little fruit. _________________ The Farming Game - Software Edition for PC, Mac, Linux

Eggs like anything else can be eaten in moderation. There is no way you can supply your body with all the nutrients its needs daily. I believe its a matter of what you eat over a period of days. For myself, I vary breakfast morning to morning. One day, I eat plain, lowfat yogurt (You need some fat to metabolize fat soluble vitamins) with some Splenda or not, and some blueberries, a cup of coffee with some cocoa. Another day:
2 eggs, 1/2 piece whole wheat high fiber toast, soy milk. and sometimes bacon. Sometimes oatmeal with low sugar and 1/2 grapefruit. If you eat grains and fruit early in the day you will be more likely to burn those off than later in the day. I eat some protein with veg or V8 veg juice or Splash in between meals. What helps my son and me is to set the stove timer for 2 hours after finishing a meal.
Don't allow yourself to get hungry and let your blood sugar drop. You'll keep your metabolism burning and won't be starved and out of control.
Also, be sure to exercise. If you don't, tell yourself that you have 10 minutes to spare. Walk for ten minutes or get an exercise tape with 10 minute exercise segments. Once you get started ten minutes will turn into twenty or more. |
