Hi we are a Navy family and will be PCSing to RI this April, and plan to begin homeschooling fall of '11 (and we will do year round learning). My oldest school age child is currently in 2nd grade and is really struggling due to moves/changes in school districts. He has been to three different schools in two different states. As a result his new school is vastly different from his old school. watching him struggle and come home with piles of work is extremely frustrating.
We are looking at using Oak Meadow or Calvert curriculum and I plan to include Judaism in our daily lesson plan.
I am using the next 8 months to prepare and research because I am finding the RI laws a bit confusing.
When we officially begin my youngest will be 5 and the oldest will be turning 9. |

Welcome!
Check out hslda.org about the laws. They tend to put it into real words rather than "legalese."
Best wishes! _________________ Jill
