Hi everyone! Yes I am new here. We began our homeschool journey for our 15 year old on March 1, 2010. He had been enrolled in public school and doing well. In 6th grade his school district put him in AP classes after his TAKS scores were so high.
Everything was going great untill his first year of high school. Still enrolled in AP classes my 15 year olds grades were terriable. We confronted him, met with teachers but still nothing.
So my husband decided to homeschool and here we are. I am as frustrated as I can be about everything. My sister-in-law homeschools her children and is very helpful to us. I know it will take some time but I know we will get there. My husband and I each want whats best for our son. |

I know you must feel overwhelmed.but, just take a deep breath....it will be okay
My best advice to you is not to what you think the "public" schools exspect out of him based off his age.....Even if you have to go back a few years & re-review some things its okay! Thats whats great about home-schooling,Being able to let the child learn at thier own speed..& if thier speed is a bit slower,Well school yr round...Thats what we do
Good Luck & keep us posted ! _________________ Keri
