Hey everyone, my name is Jesse. I found this site while doing research on homeschooling statistics for my English 100.
I was homeschooled starting at the beginning of seventh grade. Instead of doing a homeschooling program, my grandmother made her own curriculum because she had the necessary credentials. I went at my own pace and skipped some of the junk high school would have taught me.
At the age of 14, I was finished with high school, and took the placement exam for Palomar Community College. I placed into English 100 and Math 110. I'm not a high school graduate yet, because I missed the date to take the California High School Proficiency Exam, but I have full confidence that I will pass it.
So here I am, 14 years old in college classes, getting A's in all of my classes. And it's all thanks to homeschooling! Take that, naysayers! |
