skills list anyone?

Postby momo3boys » Mon Aug 04, 2008 6:05 am

Does anyone know of a good list of preschool skills? I am looking for a simple list of things that they need to know how to do for 3-4yo, then 4-5 before Kindergarten. I can't seem to find one.
THanks

I think it all depends on what you mean.

Are you asking what public education teaches at each level? Because that would be here - http://www.worldbook.com/wb/Students?curriculum

Are you asking what the average child knows and can developmentally do at each age? Because that would be here - http://www.pbs.org/parents/childdevelopment/

Or are you asking what they need to know? Because that would be here - http://www.magicalchildhood.com/articles/4yo.htm

We use a great book intended for children from birth to 5, called Slow And Steady, Get Me Ready.
It suggests activities that children should know, based on their age, broken down into weeks.
I highly recommend it!
