| My mother, 72 years old is planning to teach a special needs adult how to read. This man, who is probably in his forties, maybe fifties lives in a group home and is very active in her church. He was never taught to read and would very much like to learn. In order to learn scripture, a friend reads aloud to him and he memorizes whole chapters. He already knows the letter symbols by sight, but doesn't know the sounds (yet) and recognizes a few signs. Does anyone have any suggestions about reading curriculum for adults or just something that would work well? Thanks |

| Thanks, I'll pass it on to my mom. So far, she is having great success or I should say her student is enjoying the successes he made yesterday. |
