I think as parents, we tend to get too caught up in schedules and learning. A 28mo's job should be to explore and learn on his own schedule, not anyone else's. There's plenty of time for formal learning - when he's much older. Right now, this is the time to develop a LOVE of learning, an excitement about his world and a curiousity about everything in it.
