Artist’s Channel
There is an internet television channel that provides access to art instruction videos. There are “how-to” lessons on watercolor, pastels, oils, acrylics, framing and matting, drawing etc. The lessons are all led by artists in the profession.
The videos are geared towards adults and I am LOVING them! I have had my 10yo sit in on the lessons on drawing and a few of the painting. Some lessons are a bit boring for her, but I see her applying techniques in her daily artwork. I think age wise, these videos would be great for middle and high schoolers. (DO NOTE: there are a few lessons on drawing the nude figure.)
The lessons are very affordable. You can access a free no-obligation trial at: http://www.newcenturytv.com/art_trial/
(View 2 minutes of nearly every segment offered.)
There are other channels that you can view with your subscription too; cooking, fishing, and traveling. |
