My 6 yr old is in K in IL and he is having many behavior issues. He is now being sent home with conduct referrals nearly every day for being loud, playing, talking, or high fiving (no touching of any kind allowed). He is one of the oldest kids in his class b/c his bday is in Nov. and he is one of the more advanced as well. I suspect it is b/c he is bored. I am ready to just w/draw him & begin homeschooling. I think he will be happier.
What do I need to do in Illinois when it is mid-year and he is in K? Do I just pull him out & let the school & the teacher know? What will I need to do to continue homeschooling for 1st grade? Thanks. I am thinking he will not return after Spring break if there is not much I need to do.
