Looking for a group of homeschooled kids, for my 5th grade son to chat with

Hello! I found this site while searching the internet, for a chat platform for homeschooled kids. I know I am not alone in this search! My son is 10, in 5th grade, and an only child. We are not social parents, so we are running into brick walls every way we turn! There HAS to be a safe place, for homeschooled kids to make friends, RIGHT?!? If that place is not on here, is there anyone who can point me in the right direction? I feel so lost! Please help!

I can't help you with an app, but I can suggest that you look for a local support group. Further down this page are links to information for all 50 states; start there. Also, there are countless pages on F*cebook; even if you don't usually do FB, now is the time to start. Just search for "homeschool" and your state and city, and you should find something, probably several somethings.
