I am a musically illiterate Homeschooling mom of 3 awesome boys. I can't read music, play an instrument, or even sing. But my 5yr old son has a clear gift for music. We can not afford lessons or tutors. And obvously I can't teach him on my own. So, that leaves the option of DVD's and CD-ROM supplementation. I've heard of KINDERBACK and PIANOMOUSE (Only from Ads in a homeschool magazine). Has anyone else? If anyone has any sage advise (regarding the DVDs or any other ideas to teach him how to "do" what he loves) - please pass it along! Id be most appreciative!
Thanks!

In the mean time, start teaching yourself, use a simple method and a
soprano recorder. If the kids like VeggiTales, the recorder lends itself
well to playing those tunes also.
As far as basic music theory, that can be found online as well.
Most beginning recorder books come with fingering charts so you can
find the correct tones.
If you need to I will see what I can locate online for you as well.
