Homeschooling with tutors

Hello.

I am completely new to the forum! I am very intent on homeschooling my children. My husband's sister's were both set on homeschooling as well, but eventually caved in and decided to send their kids to charters and private schools...making me think that it is more difficult to homeschool than it seems.

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience relying mostly on outside tutors for their child's studies? Is this a feasible option? I'd like to hear some experiences about this...
