Yay! Our curriculum came today. The poor UPS guy had to haul the box (35 pounds!) all the way up my driveway. We went with Calvert's Kindergarten package w/ ATS. Man, they send you EVERYTHING! Right down to index cards and paper! And so many manuals and books! I guess I'll be doing some heavy reading tonight...

Jersey was IRATE when I told him we couldn't start school yet. I'm just as excited as he is, but the schoolroom (part of our basement) isn't ready yet. I have to have my yard sale first (it was supposed to be today but it was going to rain and it's WAY too hot) and get that junk out of here before I can rearrange furniture and set up the school area. Plus I still have to find a computer desk (I'm sitting on the basement floor typing this :? ) and some shelves and other odds and ends. It'll be a lot of work but I'm pretty tenacious when it comes to my "projects".

So the yard sale was yesterday, and I made a grand total of *drumroll please* $23. :| My mom made $64 just on her Vera Bradley bags, which were clearly the big draw. That's why I put them in the ad. We had a good turnout, but about half the people did one quick lap around the sale and left in under 30 seconds. Didn't see anything interesting I guess. But what I cannot believe is that more of the kids' clothes didn't sell! I had piles and piles of spotless, some name brand boys' clothes from newborn to size 5. Someone could have gotten an entire boy's wardrobe!! Oh well, I'm going to have another sale in a couple weeks and see how that goes. If I don't have any more luck I'll put the best stuff on Ebay and donate the rest to Goodwill. So anyone reading this interested in any boys' clothes?
