As a side note? He's been out for a week....I received and email from his Spec ed teacher asking why he has so many absences??? 1. all teachers were notified that day of his leaving..2. I also had emailed her 1 week and 2 days before I pulled him. Apparently she does not read her memo's or emails..... and that was his Spec ed teacher.... how disturbing is that??

VERY DISTURBING! Goodness.

We pulled our son out today! Here we go!

I wish you all the best! I know you won't regret homeschooling. Our kids are with us for such a short time and know you get to build amazing memories with him. If he likes reading, I would suggest Sonlight Curriculum.

Thank you!

My son has been out of public school since the end of April and OMG, if I had known what I do now, I would have never put him in. He's HAPPY. I didn't realize how unhappy he was until I saw what he's like when he's happy. I have no behavioral issues with him at all, he is polite, confident, and for the first time in his entire life, he's considering what to do after high school. He literally always assume he would just drop out.

He wants now to go to film school, found a film camp for next summer, and is signed up for a tech theatre class at a local performing arts center. He just gets up every day and we start school, no cajoling necessary. He's re-learning math through Math U See but gets kind of bored, so we'll try Saxon next month and just play it by ear. He's GETTING it though. He's excited about World History. He's been learning Japanese.

I am so grateful.
