Remember Ken Ham!

Postby redcrayola » Mon Jan 23, 2012 11:54 pm

In the spirit of "Remember the Alamo!" I encourage homeschoolers to "Remember Ken Ham!"

The "Great" Homeschool Convention owner banned Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis from last year's conventions and from all their future conventions. This was due to Ken speaking out against another speaker/vendor who believes that Genesis is to be taken metaphorically rather than literally.

I have attended their conventions every year, but I am not attending this year, despite the fact that it is the closest and biggest convention in my area. I believe that the Bible is worth standing for, and I encourage others to carefully consider whether they wish to support such an organization.

I think you shouldn't be taking this so seriously that you would not attend the convention. I listen to Ken Ham a lot and I admire his ministry's work but it doesn't mean that I don't listen to others who contradict his understanding of scriptures. The good thing is Bible is open for discussions however the truth cannot be changed. I personally believe that God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days period and it is not a metaphor. You should be light in the place of darkness or in the place of confusion. :)
