A huge mistake I made (and paid for with my health) was not taking time for myself each day or at least several times each week, and not taking week-long breaks from instructional time. People just aren't made to be "on" 24/7, and I got to the point where I was, or was half "on" and half "checked out" in self preservation, which made for a lot of ineffective parenting and homeschooling, both. I've also had to learn to let my kids successes and failures rest on them, not me. It may tell me whether what I'm doing is working or not, and where they might need more support, but truly, our worth is not determined by how well they do or don't do. It's a frequent struggle for me to remember this. :) What learning stage are you at, and do you have a philosophy or method you're using?
