Colleges Looking for Homeschoolers

Postby Theodore » Wed May 27, 2009 1:22 am

Starting new thread here, since it seems ads for colleges are a fairly frequent thing.

[quote="The King's College"]Dear Homeschooled Students and Families:

Greetings from The King’s College, New York City (http://www.tkc.edu)! The King’s College is a rigorous Christian college in the heart of New York’s famous Empire State Building, and we're hoping to get in touch with homeschooling networks and folks in your area!

This year, King’s seeks to fill the remaining seats with intelligent students who want to engage culture for Christ…right in the epicenter of where culture is created! Our faculty—great minds such as Dr. Marvin Olasky (Editor-in-Chief of WORLD Magazine) and Dr. Peter Kreeft (author of numerous books and tenured philosophy professor at Boston College)—are eager to assist you in your academic development. At King’s, you will be able to further develop your Christian worldview as you pursue degrees in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PP&E); Business Management; and Media, Culture, and the Arts (MCA).

We believe that there are exceptional 2009 graduates out there who have yet to choose a college. There are also students who have chosen a college for the fall but are not completely satisfied with their decision. If you fall in either of those categories, I’d encourage you to take a closer look at The King’s College. If you’re an academically gifted student and are interested in finding out more about King’s, visit our website and apply online for FREE at http://www.tkc.edu/apply. For homeschooled students, we’d love to waive the $30 application fee—just enter homeschool (all lower case, no spaces) in the “Name on Credit Cardâ€

HomeSchoolers Welcome at Holy Apostles College!

Holy Apostles is ranked as one of the top faithful Catholic schools in the US by the very selective Cardinal Newman Society in its Newman Guide. Our goal is for students, faculty and staff to be united in Christ in a culturally diverse atmosphere. The college is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and by the State of Connecticut Board of Higher Education.

A program that will interest current HomeSchoolers is our Take Credit! Program. Our Take Credit! Program is designed to allow current high school /homeschooled juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn College Credits from Holy Apostles before their graduation from high school! A student enrolled with the Take Credit Program may enroll in two 100 or 200 leveled courses per semester; and a third may be taken with the approval of the Academic Dean. Courses offered at Holy Apostles are $320.00 per credit equaling an affordable tuition of $960.00 per course!

Our mission is to Cultivate Catholic Leaders for Evangelization. Holy Apostles College is nationally and internationally renowned for its fidelity, excellence and affordability. We encourage you to visit our website at www.holyapostles.edu to learn more about our unique programs which can be taken on campus or 100% Online.

As Director of Undergraduate Admissions, I would be thrilled to speak with you about our programs and options which are available at our college to explore how we can help you begin your faith-filled journey with Holy Apostles College.

All the Best,
Taylor A. Riso
Director of Undergraduate Admissions
