Hi, we are new to homeschooling and have a lot questions coming up. We are fans of natural living and try to grow our kids ion that way, not always easy, but still. I recently started to look for math materials as our preschooler shows a lot interest in counting right now.

I found this kind of versatile wooden trays made for counting, I like it as I believe i could use it as sand tray for our younger boy also.

I would be very happy if someone with more experience could comment:

My only concern about this would be if the child is of an age where he still sticks small objects in his mouth.

Montessori preschool materials are delightful!

To be honest, my child is not at all comfortable with online learning. But he enjoys playing sports.

In addition to using materials like this counting tray, there are many other activities you can do with your child to promote early math skills. For example, you can count objects in your environment (e.g., how many apples do we have?) or make patterns with different materials (e.g., beads, blocks, or colored pasta).

As you continue to homeschool your child, it's also important to remember that every child learns differently and at their own pace. Don't hesitate to experiment with different teaching methods and materials to find what works best for your child. And don't forget to have fun and enjoy the learning process together!

In order for my kids to improve math skills, can anyone tell me which online program is better? Mathnasium or Beestar? Which is cheaper and effective?

Beestar is good. My son is now in Beestar and he is doing pretty great. Moreover, as it is an online program, I can save time and cost.

As a non-tech student, I don't find the resources for kids who love math particularly useful for me. I have always found it challenging to deeply engage with mathematics, and I don't necessarily need to study it in-depth. However, when I do have math assignments or need help with specific math problems, I have found a great resource at https://edubirdie.com/do-my-math-homework math homework service. Their experts are excellent at providing high-quality solutions to math problems, which has been a huge help for me. While math may not be my strong suit, it's reassuring to know that there are services available that can help me overcome my challenges and succeed in my coursework.

For hands-on learning activities, wooden trays can be excellent instruments, especially for young children. They provide an engaging tactile and visual way to learn about counting and other math ideas.
