Looking for resources to break down deductive reasoning and syllogisms

Postby markmark » Fri Jul 24, 2020 3:08 am

Hi, all!

I'm not sure if the Math thread is where I should be posting this, but I'm looking for resources to tie up the following three aspects: deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, and syllogism. I've been on YouTube looking for videos, but I can't find one that addresses all three together.

This is for my nephew; I'm not really all that versed in this area; neither is my sister. We did however find a simple enough resource that explains deductive and inductive reasoning (https://www.bartleby.com/subject/math/c ... ng-in-math). It has videos too. The problem is, my nephew is able to tell what a syllogism is, but he's unable to tell if a given example is actually an example of a syllogism. In all honesty, neither can I. I'd appreciate any pointers, preferably 101-level videos or texts.

Thanks in advance! :)

It's really difficult because mathematics has flexibility in each solution. You definitely need to understand and know the correct method to ensure easy understanding and streamlined solution steps. I think this depends on each person's perception. I think perhaps we should find a specialized teacher to ensure a better problem-solving process. Although there are certainly people on the forum who know, this is difficult when the solution may exceed the program https://geometrydashlite.co

A syllogism employs deductive reasoning to reach a conclusion based on two or https://dino-game.org more assertions presumed to be true. This is referred to as a premise premise conclusion argument.
