Teaching Myself?
I had some problems at school, so my mom took me out and is homeschooling me, kind of. The counselor at my old school said to let me pretty much teach myself? I have to study for my GED and take the test when I am 16. Is it okay if I print things and give myself assignments if my mom grades them or something?

You don't really need much supervision from fourth grade onward. No state requirement mandates x amount of direct teacher supervision, because then their own public schools would fail (40+ students per class with 1-hour period = 1.5 minutes maximum personal attention per student per class per day). So it's all about the number of hours you put in studying.
I did almost all my own studying from 4th grade onwards, with the exception of a few online courses.
