Hello, I wanted to introduce myself and say how excited I am to FINALLY get my DH's blessing/approval to homeschool our oldest daughter. Sure wish we could have started MUCH sooner, but better late than never! She just turned 14 and will be going into 8th grade. She has always struggled somewhat, and I'm just now trying to find out for sure if she may possibly have dysgraphia....??? Anyhow, I'm trying to get "plugged in" in whatever sensible ways I can, and this is the 1st forum I've chosen to register in concerning HS, so thanks for any and all input you may have to offer. Razz

Amazing that over 361 views to my 1st post and not 1 single reply. Embarassed

I sure was hoping to find at least 1 other family who may live somewhere in the Charlotte NC area who is HS a younger teen/s that we may share. I've been searching and having a bit of a time, yet I KNOW there are MANY families around here homeschooling, just can't seem to reach them via internet.

Thank you for that list, NO, there are none within 1.5 hrs. of where we live. I'm starting to wonder if I need to take the initiative to start something. I've registered with a couple of other forums, and am still waiting to hear from there too. So again, thanks for you help, Mia

You can also search for Charlotte NC homeschool on Yahoo Groups, which turns up quite a few results.

I had to start my own, and now we have six families that regularly ge together, and this year (#2) we are going to do spanish and music and gym together. Have fun!
