Postby Incognito19 » Mon Dec 13, 2010 7:58 am

I have a 4yr old almost 5. Does anyone know where can i get the homeschool laws for Arizona? Also, coming from another country I am not sure when does she have to start her learning by law? she will be 5 in Feb. Is a requirement to start preschool too? just need some links to point me in the right direction. thanks in advance.

Preschool is not mandatory in any state.

Here is Home School Legal Defense Association's analysis of AZ law. According to this, your dd will not be compulsory school age until September 1, 2012. That would be the first year you'd have to file an affidavit.

Your daughter is learning all the time, of course. No one can legislate how or when a child will learn. :)
