so if i send a letter to springfield which you have to do it like notifies whatever... idk ut its the law so school starts next week if we sent it in how long would it take for them to approve and do they have to approve or can i just start the online school and then wait for theyre reply?

I don't see anything in the HSLDA legal analysis about notification, so it's probably just a courtesy, not actually required by law. Illinois is apparently not one of the states that requires your plan to be authorized by the state before you can get started.
