At...

... you will find details of a small Windows program I wrote to help readers.
It doesn't "do everything", but then again, it doesn't cost anything to use it in a limited (but not useless! And not TIME-limited) way.
It puts a few words on the screen... BRIEFLY... and then asks puts another word on the screen... which may, or may not, have been in the list presented briefly. User tries to say whether it was in the list.
A school I worked in paid outside consultants to come and speak to our pupils. Waste of money, I thought, but one point they made might hold water. They suggested that we can deliberately build the simple muscular skills of running our eyes along a line of text. The program gives users a chance to practice that.

Interesting concept. Just a disclaimer - any software you install and run may contain viruses. To be safe, virus scan this and have a virus scanner up when you run it. _________________ The Farming Game - Software Edition for Mac and PC
The board game has sold over 350,000 copies worldwide, garnered many awards, is used by over 2,000 schools, and is used extensively by homeschoolers. |

Theorde is exactly right. And I would add: Be careful what sites you load things from.
