In the state of North Carolina, home schooled students must take a high school competency test and make a minimum score decided on by the school before the student can graduate. A standarized test measuring verbal and quantitative skills must be given at the end of 11th grade. Would the IOWA test of basic skills qualify? _________________ Have a great day!

Actually, the latest HSLDA info just says that homeschoolers have to administer an annual standardized test, with the results made available for inspection (mail them to the Division of Non-Public Education upon request). Further searching yields this text:
...each private church school or school of religious charter shall administer at least once in each school year, a nationally standardized test or other nationally standardized equivalent measure selected by the chief administrative officer of such school, to all students enrolled and regularly attending the eleventh grade. The nationally standardized test or other equivalent measurement selected must measure competencies in the verbal and quantitative areas.
Any official state test for that grade level should do just fine. _________________ The Farming Game - Software Edition for PC, Mac, Linux
