Hi, I'm Jessica, 31 and married to my high school sweetheart Josh, 32. We have 3 kids, Ella is 8, Landen is 7 and Brayden is 4. My 2 oldest are in 2nd and 1st grade. We've decided to home school due to serious problems with our public school here. We have a spare room that I will transform into our class room but I'm very overwhelmed looking for a curriculum. We are looking for something less faith based and budget friendly. I look forward to learning all I can about home schooling!

I feel like you. Church will give my kids the faith based part. I want curriculum less faith based and budget friendly. I did want to share 2 sites I ran across that have helped me start aside from the guidebook from NC. Im in Charlotte.

These 2 sites will help with getting organized and they have paid options but MORE Free printables and advice!

donnayoung.org
http://www.tinasdynamichomeschoolplus.com/free-printables/7-step-curriculum-planner/

khanacademy.org is great! FREE!!
duolingo.com for foreign language FREE!!!

These are just starters. Research has been my friend. Type in homeschool and Free TONS of stuff comes up!
