Am I expecting too much?

Postby shia.glasmeier » Wed Jan 29, 2014 2:22 pm

I recently started doing preschool with my children. Emma-4, Lucy-2, Erik (my nephew)-4. I bought a workbook from Walmart to give me ideas, and we do 3 worksheets every day, plus coloring, cutting, and glueing (sp?), and reading a book. Is that too much for their age? What should I be teaching them? Should I focus on kindergarten readiness stuff, or just whatever seems fun? Also, my nephew, who we have custody of, is not nearly as advanced as Emma, and I'm not sure what to do for them. They all really like school, but everyone is getting frustrated, including me. Am I expecting too much from them? Should I be more flexible and fluid? Also, does anyone have ideas for individual things they can do? :?:
