In all the public schools around the world students are judged. If you don't fit in, you're out. Simple as that. That's why student's self esteem lowers, their value and so on.

I can't even THINK straight right now because of my anger towards that teacher. She doesn't even DESERVE to be a teacher. Honestly! Who treats a child like that?
That is a prime example of peer pressure and bullying that kids face everyday, sadly.

I have no real objection to the old practice of making children sit in the corner with a dunce cap as a reward for not studying, but singling out a child for ridicule just because he's the least popular is a totally different matter.

EDIT: Especially if you're not warned in advance.
